BRUIN NEWS NOW

This is my high school, Saint Joseph Catholic School's weekly newscast. I have been a part of BNN production since the ninth grade. I have put together news and sports packages as a reporter. I have also anchored both Sports and News. As a senior, I am the show's chief producer whenever the show airs live.

THE BRUIN BUZZ LIVE

The Bruin Buzz Live is a weekly podcast that I started as part of Saint Joseph Catholic School's journalism program. Each week I interviewed one or two guests about the goings-on around campus. I was the sole editor and producer of the Bruin Buzz Live up until October 2020 when I began training an apprentice to take the place once I graduate.

BNN OVERTIME

BNN Overtime is a periodic interview show where I would have exclusive sit-down interviews with key newsmakers from around the state of Mississippi. These interviews were on camera, and I was the editor, and producer of this show. The first two editions are previewed in the link below. The first is with State Senator Dean Kirby, and the second is with United States Representative Michael Guest.

BRUIN BROADCASTING NETWORK

In addition to the Bruin Buzz Live, BNN, and BNN Overtime, I also was a part of the Bruin Broadcasting Network team. BBN broadcast every varsity football game both home and away. As well as home and district basketball games. My senior year, as the Voice Of The Bruins, I was the play-by-play announcer. In addition to being on air, I also produced and live streamed the games using Wirecast.

THE BEAR FACTS NEWSPAPER

The Bear Facts is Saint Joseph Catholic School's student newspaper. I have written a few pieces for the paper throughout my career as a high school journalist. One such piece was recognized as a finalist for Best News Story - Newspaper at the Mississippi Scholastic Press Association Conference. The most recent story I wrote is on the Saint Joseph Clay Shooting Team, and how the only girl on the team is breaking down stereotypical barriers.
